Maa Parv | A Cultural Movement by Dr. Krupesh

About Movement

Maa Parv is a year-long cultural and spiritual movement initiated by Dr. Krupesh Nayna Shashikant (Dr. Krupesh Thacker) and Dr. Pooja Pravina Jagdish (Dr. Pooja Thacker) under Give Vacha Foundation and Krup Music, based on the revival of the traditional Sanatan identity system where an individual is recognized through their mother.

The movement is founded on the belief that every form of existence is nurtured and guided by Maa, expanding motherhood beyond biology into a universal principle present in life, culture, and spirituality. This philosophy is lived in practice, where since 2015 every volunteer of Give Vacha Foundation follows identity through their mother’s name.

Philosophy

Maa Parv is founded on the belief that every form of existence is nurtured and guided by Maa. It expands the idea of motherhood beyond biology into a universal principle present in life, culture, and spirituality.
At the heart of this movement lies a revival of the traditional Sanatan identity system, where an individual is recognized through their mother.

The visionary behind the movement, Dr. Krupesh Nayna Shashikant, initiated this practice by adopting his mother’s name as his identity, transforming his name from Dr. Krupesh Thacker to Dr. Krupesh Nayna Shashikant.

Since the inception of Give Vacha Foundation in 2015, this philosophy has been lived in practice, with every volunteer of the organisation embracing identity through their mother’s name.
This makes the movement not just a celebration, but a living cultural practice of identity, gratitude, and recognition of Maa.g tradition.

The movement focuses on:

  • Understanding identity through Maa
  • Practicing gratitude and seva
  • Connecting tradition with modern life
  • Experiencing devotion through daily actions
  • Showing gratitude to 11 forms of mother throughout the year

The 11 Forms of Mother

The movement is rooted in the recognition of eleven forms of Maa:

  • Biological Mother
  • Devi Maa
  • Dharti Maa (Mother Earth)
  • Gau Mata
  • Matrubhoomi
  • Guru Maa
  • Matrubhasha Maa (Mother Language)
  • Bharat Mata (Motherland)
  • Tulsi Maa
  • Gita Maa
  • Lokmata

Each form represents a dimension of life and helps individuals connect with Maa in different ways.

Annual Celebrations

While this is a year-long movement, it is celebrated annually through a dedicated 30-day period filled with activities, rituals, and community participation as Maa Parv: Mother’s Day, Sanatan Way. It generally starts 30 days prior to Mother’s Day each year.

Each year’s celebration reflects the living expression of the Maa Parv philosophy through real experiences and social engagement.

Media Recognition

Maa Parv has received consistent coverage across multiple publications, highlighting its emergence as a growing cultural movement.

Literary Foundation

In 2023, the journey of Maa Parv movement was documented in the book “Arjun Uvacha: Maa Parv”, written by Dr. Krupesh Thacker. The book is based on the Maa Parv movement and its philosophy of the 11 Forms of Mother.

The book received the Shreshtha Pustak Paritoshik 2023 (Best Hindi Book Award 2023) by Hindi Sahitya Academy through Gujarat Sahitya Academy Gandhinagar, further recognizing Maa Parv as a meaningful cultural and literary contribution.

From Event Film to Movement Film

In 2023, a film titled “Maa Parv: Mother’s Day, Sanatan Way” was created based on the Maa Parv Mahotsav festival celebration, capturing the spirit of the event.

Building on this foundation, the journey is now expanding into a new film titled “Maa Parv: The Sanatan Motherhood”, which is based on the award-winning book “Arjun Uvacha: Maa Parv” and the broader Maa Parv movement.

This marks the evolution of Maa Parv from a lived cultural practice to a literary work and now to a cinematic expression.
